Benefactors like you, who share our values, make a huge difference to the Web Consortium operations as a public-interest non-profit.

While some of the technical work we do receives funding from Member organizations, we are only able to achieve Web inventor Tim Berners-Lee’s vision of leading the Web to its full potential through the generosity of contributions and sponsorships from individuals and organizations.

W3C Mission

We make the Web work for everyone, regardless of hardware, software, native language, culture, geographical location, physical or mental ability. We do so by developing protocols and open and royalty-free standards for the web.
